About Me
For more than a decade, I’ve had a passion for firearms—not as symbols of power or intimidation, but as tools that demand respect, discipline, and responsibility. I’m also a proud Second Amendment advocate, and I believe that with the right mindset, education, and training, firearm ownership can be a positive force for personal safety and community responsibility.
My journey began over 10 years ago with one clear goal: to protect my family. From the start, I knew that owning a firearm also meant making a serious commitment to education and training. I wanted to make sure that every year I continued to train, stay proficient, and remain up to date on what matters most—safe handling, responsible ownership, and the skills needed to respond effectively if ever required.
Over time, that personal commitment grew into something bigger. I became an NRA Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer, and a Duly Authorized NYS CCW Instructor.
Coaching and teaching have always been at the core of who I am. Whether it’s guiding athletes, mentoring others, or breaking down complex skills into something approachable and practical, I’ve always believed real confidence comes from knowledge and preparation. Firearms are no different.
I train consistently and hold myself accountable through performance-based environments. I actively compete in IDPA and USPSA competitions, which has reinforced an important truth: safe, disciplined fundamentals—done the same way every time—are what build reliability under pressure.
I also believe strongly in continuing education. I’ve trained with respected programs including Modern Samurai Project (Scott Jedlinski) with both Red Dot and AIWB coursework, and Point 1 Tactics in Pistol Performance with Donovan Moore, along with many additional training classes that have shaped how I teach and how I approach safety, mindset, and skill-building.
The Responsible Defender was built on the belief that firearm ownership should empower people—not escalate fear or aggression. I created this company to help new shooters, first-time gun owners, women, and families feel informed, confident, and accountable in their training. My focus is on safe handling, thoughtful decision-making, secure storage, and developing a calm, prepared mindset.
Preparation isn’t about paranoia—it’s about responsibility. It’s about challenging yourself to learn, train, and stay disciplined so that if you’re ever faced with a difficult moment, you respond with clarity rather than panic.
At the end of the day, this mission is personal. As a father and a family man, protecting what matters most drives everything I do. Firearms—when approached with education and accountability—are about empowerment: empowerment to protect, to prepare, and to lead responsibly.
That’s what The Responsible Defender stands for.
